Elijah Moore Expected To Play In Week 8
New York Jets wide receiver Elijah Moore is back with the team and is expected to be active in Week 8 against the New England Patriots, according to head coach Robert Saleh. Moore has been unhappy with his role in the offense and requested a trade last week. The Jets have been adamant that they will not trade the 22-year-old second-year wideout, and they held him out of the Week 7 win over the Denver Broncos for personal reasons. The addition of first-rounder Garrett Wilson hasn't helped Moore's cause in 2022, but quarterback Zach Wilson also hasn't been very good through the air so far this season. Moore has 16 catches on 29 targets for 203 yards and no touchdowns in his six games, and he'll be a risky flex play in his return to action against New England.

The Jets don't want the 22-year-old to take the field while being frustrated with his role on the team, so it will mean more targets for Corey Davis and rookie first-rounder Garrett Wilson against a tough defense. Moore played a season-low 58 percent of the snaps on offense in last week's win over the Green Bay Packers and didn't receive a single target. In six games, he has 16 catches on 29 targets for 203 yards and no touchdowns. In shallow fantasy leagues, Moore is probably not worth holding onto.

New York Jets wide receiver Elijah Moore has requested a trade from the organization. The 22-year-old missed Thursday's practice due to personal reasons. It sounds like Moore is unhappy with his usage in the current team's offense. To be fair, Moore has 16 catches for 203 yards and no touchdowns over the first six weeks. His only target last week was erased because of a penalty. Despite his low usage, the Jets have no desire to move on from Moore. The team selected Moore in the second round of the 2021 draft. A rebuilding roster like the Jets does not need to be trading away young talent like Moore. It's unclear if Moore is going to sit out until he's traded or not. Regardless, he's going to be an undesirable fantasy option right now.
