Kyle Pitts Out For The Year

Atlanta Falcons tight end Kyle Pitts (knee) has officially been ruled out for the rest of the year, according to head coach Arthur Smith. Pitts was previously out indefinitely with damage to his right MCL that required surgery. The 22-year-old former fourth overall pick in 2021 should be ready to go for the 2023 season after suffering a Grade 2 MCL sprain in Week 11. He had been extremely frustrating for fantasy managers in his second NFL season before his knee injury, catching only 28 of his 59 targets for 356 yards and two touchdowns a year after going for over 1,000 receiving yards in his rookie campaign. Pitts' fantasy stock will be down entering drafts next year, but he could outperform expectations if quarterback Marcus Mariota isn't running the offense. Parker Hesse and MyCole Pruitt will share playing time at the position the rest of the way in Atlanta.

Kyle Pitts Out Indefinitely With Torn MCL

Atlanta Falcons tight end Kyle Pitts is out indefinitely after suffering a torn ACL in the team's win over the Chicago Bears. While Pitts hasn't met expectations this season in fantasy football, managers continued to hold out hope for the 2021 No. 4 overall pick in the NFL Draft. He is more than likely out for the remainder of the fantasy football season and can be dropped in leagues of all shapes and sizes. Parker Hesse and MyCole Pruitt will be the lead tight ends for Atlanta, but neither has fantasy upside. Ultimately, Pitts' absence from the offense will likely mean more targets for Drake London and Olamide Zaccheaus,.

    Kyle Pitts Questionable To Return

Atlanta Falcons tight end Kyle Pitts (knee) is officially questionable to return against the Chicago Bears in Week 11. He caught three passes for 43 yards before exiting the contest. As long as Pitts is sidelined, MyCole Pruitt should see more snaps on offense. The Falcons will take on the Washington Commanders next Sunday.

Kyle Pitts To Play In Week 6

Atlanta Falcons tight end Kyle Pitts (hamstring) is active for the Week 6 matchup against the San Francisco 49ers. The 22-year-old was dealing with a hamstring issue, but it appears he's feeling good enough to play in this one. Pitts has been disappointing this season, catching 10 of his 22 targets for 150 yards and no touchdowns. Although, there is a ton of upside in his game, which is why fantasy managers should continue to hold him. Pitts should be viewed as a TE2 for this matchup on Sunday.

Kyle Pitts Expected To Play Against 49ers

Atlanta Falcons tight end Kyle Pitts (hamstring) is expected to play in Week 6 against the San Francisco 49ers, according to a source. Pitts is technically a "game-time decision" after missing the Week 5 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but he's on track to play on Sunday after a good week of rehab and treatment. Fantasy managers will want to check back on Sunday morning to see if he's actually active, but it looks like his chances are good to suit up. The 22-year-old tight end has been a disappointment through four games this year, catching 10 of his 22 targets for 150 yards and no touchdowns. If he's officially active on Sunday, fantasy managers should consider him a high-end TE2 with upside for more if he finds the end zone for the first time in 2022.

Kyle Pitts Questionable For Week 6

Atlanta Falcons tight end Kyle Pitts (hamstring) is officially questionable for the Week 6 matchup with the San Francisco 49ers. Pitts missed last week's game against Tampa Bay, so there's a real chance he could miss this game, too. If Pitts is active, it's tough to bench him, even after a slow start to the season. Fantasy managers invested valuable draft capital in him hoping for elite tight end upside. His upside is still a top-10 weekly tight end, but his floor is clearly lower. If he's out, Olamide Zaccheaus should be the secondary target in the passing game. That said, he's more of a deep league-only flex option.

    Kyle Pitts Practicing Again Thursday

Atlanta Falcons tight end Kyle Pitts (hamstring) is practicing for the second straight day on Thursday. Pitts was listed as a limited practice participant on Wednesday, but it's great news that he's back on the field after being held out of the Week 5 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Barring some sort of setback, it's looking more likely that he'll return on Sunday to face the San Francisco 49ers. With a disappointing 10 catches on 22 targets for 150 yards and no touchdowns through four games in the early going, Pitts has been a tough sell for fantasy managers as a TE1 play. And things won't get any easier for him this weekend if he plays, as the Niners defense has allowed the second-fewest fantasy points per game (4.0) to TEs in half-point PPR scoring.

Kyle Pitts To Return To Practice Wednesday

Atlanta Falcons head coach Arthur Smith said that tight end Kyle Pitts (hamstring) will be back at practice on Wednesday, and they'll see how it goes with him this week. Pitts sat out the Week 5 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and while it seems like he's on the right track to play this weekend against the San Francisco 49ers, we'll have to monitor his status all week. The 22-year-old second-year tight end has been a big disappointment for his fantasy managers through four games so far in 2022. He has just 10 receptions on 22 targets for 150 yards and no touchdowns in Atlanta's run-first offense. With Pitts sidelined last week, tight ends Anthony Firkser and Parker Hesse combined for two catches and just 20 yards.

Kyle Pitts' Injury Not Believed To Be Long-Term

Atlanta Falcons head coach Arthur Smith said that tight end Kyle Pitts (hamstring) isn't expected to be out long term after being ruled out for the Week 5 game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Pitts woke up more sore than usual in the days following the Week 4 loss to the Cleveland Browns, and he wasn't able to practice at all this week. It sounds like the Falcons are just being smart with him so that the hamstring injury doesn't turn into a lingering issue. We'll have to see if the 22-year-old will be able to return in Week 6 against the San Francisco 49ers. With Pitts out this Sunday, Parker Hesse and Anthony Firkser will battle for targets at the tight end position. Neither are viable streaming options in fantasy.

Kyle Pitts Ruled Out For Week 5

Atlanta Falcons tight end Kyle Pitts (hamstring) didn't practice all week and has officially been ruled out for Week 5 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Fantasy managers will obviously need to remove him from their starting lineups this weekend. With Pitts out, Parker Hesse and Anthony Firkser will battle for playing time at the position, although neither player is worth looking into as a streaming sleeper. Rookie first-round wide receiver Drake London should have a much higher floor now as a flex play in fantasy. Pitts has been a disappointment through his first four games of the season, catching just 10 of 22 targets for 150 yards and no touchdowns early in his second NFL campaign.

Kyle Pitts Sidelined For Second Straight Practice

Atlanta Falcons tight end Kyle Pitts (hamstring) was not spotted at practice for the second straight day as he deals with a hamstring injury. The sophomore will likely need to get in some work on Friday to not be in any danger of missing Week 5 against the Buccaneers, so fantasy managers should continue to check in for updates on his status. Pitts has been extremely disappointing to start the season, but his talent makes him a weekly TE1 option at the very thin position. He can be valued as more of a low-end TE1 against a good Buccaneers defense in Week 5 if he is able to play.

    Kyle Pitts Misses Wednesday's Practice

Atlanta Falcons tight end Kyle Pitts (hamstring) missed the team's practice on Wednesday with a hamstring injury. It remains to be seen if Pitts is actually in danger of missing the Week 5 game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but fantasy managers must have a backup plan in place in case he's inactive. The 21-year-old played a season-low 62 percent of the offensive snaps in a run-heavy game script in the win over the Cleveland Browns in Week 4, and he hasn't done much for fantasy managers outside of his five-catch, 87-yard performance in Week 3. Pitts caught just one of his four targets for 25 yards last Sunday. If he manages to return to practice this week and is active on Sunday, he'll be a low-end TE1, at best, against Tampa.
