Miami Dolphins cornerback Xavien Howard (groin) and running back Salvon Ahmed (back) are both officially inactive in Week 5 against the New York Jets. Howard was injured in last week's loss to the Cincinnati Bengals, so the Dolphins secondary will be at less than full strength against the Jets on Sunday. With the 29-year-old sidelined, both Kader Kohou and Keion Crossen will battle for more playing time in the secondary. Ahmed has been active in just two games so far in 2022 and hasn't logged a single offensive snap. Myles Gaskin will serve as depth in Miami's backfield against New York behind Chase Edmonds and Raheem Mostert.

Miami Dolphins running back Salvon Ahmed (heel) was limited in practice all week and is listed as questionable to play in the Week 1 regular season opener against the New England Patriots on Sunday. Ahmed is currently fourth on the team's running back depth chart behind Chase Edmonds, Raheem Mostert and Myles Gaskin, so he's already well off the fantasy radar to open the 2022 season. In his two seasons with the Dolphins, the 23-year-old has 129 carries for 468 yards (3.6 yards per carry) and three touchdowns, adding 23 receptions on 33 targets for 178 receiving yards in 18 games (four starts).
