  The Chargers recently waived running back Larry Rountree III. However, the team is bringing him back on a practice squad deal. The 23-year-old was taken in the sixth round of the 2021 NFL Draft. Yet, he finished his rookie campaign with only 87 yards and a touchdown off 36 touches. There is a chance Rountree will get another shot with the big club this season. Still, even if he does, he'll likely remain buried on the depth chart and provide little to no fantasy value.

  Larry Rountree III To Be Waived

  The Los Angeles Chargers plan to waive running back Larry Rountree III after they signed Sony Michel on Wednesday, according to a source. Rountree was a former sixth-round pick last year, and he saw only 36 carries for 87 yards and one touchdown in 12 games in his rookie season in 2021. He was entering the 2022 season buried on the Bolts running back depth chart behind Austin Ekeler, Joshua Kelley and rookie Isaiah Spiller. Rountree will now be looking for a chance elsewhere to provide running back depth heading into his second NFL campaign.
