New York Jets wide receiver Denzel Mims (concussion) cleared concussion protocols and will play in Sunday's matchup against the Seattle Seahawks. The 25-year-old was a full participant in practice this week and will return Sunday after missing Week 16 due to a concussion. Mims has caught 11 passes for 186 yards over eight games in 2022. The former second-round pick is expected to be the Jets' WR4 behind Garrett Wilson, Corey Davis, and Elijah Moore. Before he was hurt on Sunday, the 25-year-old caught one of his two targets for 13 yards. Mims has been a complete non-factor in fantasy in 2022, catching only 11 of his 24 targets for 186 yards and no touchdowns in eight games. He has yet to score in 28 NFL games. If Mims is inactive this week, Jeff Smith and Braxton Berrios could have bigger roles in the passing game if Corey Davis (concussion) misses another game with a head injury of his own.

The 24-year-old was selected in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft. Throughout his two seasons with the club, he hasn't been productive, racking up only 67 catches for 409 yards while failing to score a touchdown. Nevertheless, it remains to be seen if the former Baylor Bear will actually be moved or if this situation can be repaired. However, Mims has reportedly been putting in extra work this offseason, so he's someone to keep an eye on, especially if he ends up on a new team with a stable quarterback.
