Matthew Wright Cut Loose By Steelers
Pittsburgh Steelers kicker Matthew Wright has been released ahead of the team's Week 14 game versus the Baltimore Ravens. The move coincides with the return of Chris Boswell, who was activated from IR on Saturday. Wright spent two games with the Chiefs earlier this season before latching on with Pittsburgh for the last four weeks. He has posted solid results in 2022, converting all 15 of his extra points while going 15-for-18 on field goals. Going forward, he should be viewed as a priority free agent if any team loses its kicker to injury or poor performance.
