Elgton Jenkins Receives Massive Four-Year Deal
The Green Bay Packers and star offensive lineman Elgton Jenkins agreed to a four-year contract extension worth $68 million in base value with a maximum value of $74 million on Friday, according to sources. The deal makes Jenkins the second-highest paid guard in the NFL. He was in the final year of his rookie deal and was likely headed toward the franchise tag in 2023. It's a massive deal for a player a year removed from tearing his ACL. Jenkins will receive a $24 million signing bonus. The 26-year-old is Green Bay's starting left guard, but he's extremely versatile and can play most positions on the O-line in a pinch, making him even more valuable to the team. Jenkins made the Pro Bowl in his second season in 2020 and has started 12 games for the Packers this year.
