  • Darrell Henderson Jr. Visits With Cardinals

Free-agent running back Darrell Henderson Jr. did a visit with the Arizona Cardinals on Tuesday. The 25-year-old has already been cut twice this season, but might be able to find a new home soon. Henderson rushed 70 times for 283 yards and three touchdowns before getting cut by the Los Angeles Rams. After that, Henderson joined the Jacksonville Jaguars, but was cut by the team before even playing in a single game. Possibly, Henderson would be able to help out as the backup behind James Conner. The Cardinals certainly need a reliable change-of-pace back. Fantasy managers shouldn't be jumping on the waiver wire to snag Henderson. It's unknown if the Cardinals even want to sign Henderson, but he did meet with the organization.

  • Jaguars Waive Darrell Henderson Jr.

The Jacksonville Jaguars waived running back Darrell Henderson Jr. on Friday, according to the team. Henderson was claimed off waivers from the Los Angeles Rams several weeks ago, but he'll head back to the waiver wire after not playing in a single game for the Jaguars. The 25-year-old has a good chance of latching on with another team for the stretch run of the 2022 campaign, but it will probably be a long shot that he sees significant backfield work. Before being cut by the Rams in November, Henderson carried the ball 70 times for 283 yards and three touchdowns, adding 17 receptions on 22 targets for 102 yards in 10 games played (seven starts).

  • Darrell Henderson Jr. Questionable With Illness

Jacksonville Jaguars running back Darrell Henderson Jr. (illness) is questionable to make his debut with the team in Week 13 against the Detroit Lions. Henderson was claimed off waivers from the Los Angeles Rams last week, but he was held out of the Week 12 win over the Baltimore Ravens. With Travis Etienne Jr. (foot) expected to play this Sunday, the 25-year-old Henderson would likely be the No. 3 behind Etienne and JaMycal Hasty if he was active, so fantasy managers should ignore him for the time being. Eventually, Henderson could surpass Hasty on the RB depth chart, but that may not happen anytime soon. He can be left to the waiver wire in most single-year fantasy leagues.

  • Darrell Henderson Jr. Claimed By Jaguars

The Jacksonville Jaguars claimed former Los Angeles Rams running back Darrell Henderson Jr. off of waivers on Wednesday. The Rams surprisingly waived the fourth-year back on Tuesday and it didn't take long for him to find a new home. Henderson will likely play in a complementary role with Travis Etienne Jr. handling the team's RB1 duties, but he could have fantasy value at some point down the stretch once he familiarizes himself with the offense. For the time being, fantasy managers should only look to stash Henderson in deeper leagues.

  • Darrell Henderson Jr. Waived By Rams

Los Angeles Rams running back Darrell Henderson Jr. has been waived by the organization. This is a bit surprising considering Henderson began the year as the starting back in Los Angeles. However, he finished with two carries in the Week 11 loss to the New Orleans Saints. He was held under six carries in three of the last four games. The 25-year-old is in the final year of his rookie contract. He should land elsewhere because he does have some promising upside. Cam Akers and Kyren Williams are expected to split the workload in the backfield going forward.

  • Darrell Henderson Jr. Dealing With Knee Injury

Los Angeles Rams running back Darrell Henderson Jr. "felt a little something in his knee" ahead of Sunday's game against the New Orleans Saints, according to head coach Sean McVay. This explains why Henderson was limited to just four snaps and two touches in the loss. It remains to be seen what his status will look like in Week 12. If Henderson is unable to play, Cam Akers and Kyren Williams would lead the backfield once again.

  • Darrell Henderson Jr. Will Play Against 49ers

Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay said that running back Darrell Henderson Jr. (illness) will be ready to go in Week 8 against the division-rival San Francisco 49ers and that "he's feeling good." Malcolm Brown and Ronnie Rivers will round out the team's running back rotation this Sunday with Cam Akers (personal) set to be another healthy scratch as the team looks to trade him before next Tuesday's deadline. Before last week's bye, Henderson had 12 carries for 43 yards and a touchdown on the ground while catching two of his three targets for nine yards. With Akers out of the picture for possibly good in 2022, Henderson should see the majority of LA's backfield work and will have RB2 upside despite the tough matchup in Week 8.

  • Darrell Henderson Jr. Limited Thursday

Los Angeles Rams running back Darrell Henderson Jr. (illness) practiced in a limited capacity Thursday. He returned to the field Thursday after missing Wednesday's session with an illness. The 25-year-old will be the Rams lead back against the San Francisco 49ers while Cam Akers (personal) is away from the team. Henderson has rushed for 181 yards on 46 attempts while catching 14 passes for 77 yards over six games in 2022. Henderson is a borderline RB2 against a 49ers defense that ranks ninth in rush DVOA this season.

  • Darrell Henderson Jr. Doesn't Practice Wednesday

Los Angeles Rams running back Darrell Henderson Jr. (illness) didn't practice Wednesday due to an illness. Cam Akers (personal) was also held out of Wednesday's session. Henderson will have two chances to practice before Sunday's game against the San Francisco 49ers. The 25-year-old is the Rams' lead back after rushing for 43 yards on 12 attempts and a touchdown while catching two passes for nine yards in the Week 6 win over the Panthers. Henderson should lead the Rams in touches against the 49ers, and he is borderline RB2 in Week 8.

  • Darrell Henderson Jr. Left Off Injury Report Monday

Los Angeles Rams running back Darrell Henderson Jr. was not listed on the initial injury report for Thursday night's matchup against the Buffalo Bills. Henderson missed some time earlier in camp with an undisclosed soft-tissue injury, but he was able to return to practice last week. The veteran running back will join Cam Akers in the backfield for Week 1 after Akers himself also dealt with an undisclosed injury during camp. The two are expected to split carries on Thursday night against the Bills. Henderson is on the board as an RB3/flex option in PPR leagues for Week 1.

  • Cam Akers, Darrell Henderson Jr. "Good To Go"

Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay said that running backs Cam Akers and Darrell Henderson Jr. are "good to go." Both running backs practiced on Friday after missing time during training camp with soft-tissue injuries. Akers and Henderson returned to full practice to start the week on Monday and should be fine for the Week 1 regular season opener next Thursday night against the Buffalo Bills. The Rams backfield might begin as more of a committee between Akers and Henderson early on, but most expect Akers to eventually separate himself as the lead back in LA. The 23-year-old only played in one regular season game in 2021 due to an Achilles injury, but he saw more of a role in the run to the Super Bowl in the postseason. Akers is an RB2 target in fantasy, and Henderson is an ideal handcuff in the later rounds of drafts.

  • Cam Akers, Darrell Henderson Jr. Return To Full Practice

Los Angeles Rams running backs Cam Akers and Darrell Henderson Jr. both returned to full practice on Monday, according to head coach Sean McVay. Akers and Henderson have both been dealing with soft-tissue injuries during training camp, but now that they are back at practice to begin this week, they'll have plenty of time to get up to speed for the team's Week 1 season opener against the Buffalo Bills next Thursday night. Akers played in just one regular season game in 2021 due to Achilles tear he suffered before the start of the regular season, but he's expected to be LA's primary back in 2022, with Henderson serving in a change-of-pace role. Akers should be considered a low-end RB2 for fantasy purposes. Henderson is a handcuff option.

  • Darrell Henderson Jr. Runs At Full Speed

Los Angeles Rams running back Darrell Henderson Jr. was able to run at full speed on Sunday, according to head coach Sean McVay. This is great news as Henderson is recovering from an undisclosed soft-tissue injury. The hope is that Henderson will be able to practice this upcoming week. He should suit up for Week 1, assuming he doesn't suffer any setbacks. In fact, Henderson could be the lead back for their first game if Cam Akers isn't ready yet. The two of them are expected to split up carries in the backfield this season.
