DJ Moore NEWS
DJ Moore, Laviska Shenault Jr. Active In Week 15
Carolina Panthers wide receivers DJ Moore (ankle) and Laviska Shenault Jr. (shoulder) are both officially active for the Week 15 game against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday. Moore and Shenault were both questionable to play this weekend. Moore was downgraded to a limited practice on Friday, but he's active and should be quarterback Sam Darnold's top target in a great matchup against the Steelers. He wasn't able to secure any of his three targets last week while also getting injured, but the 25-year-old pass-catcher should be able to bounce back as a WR3/flex for fantasy managers as long as he doesn't suffer a setback. In Carolina's run-first offense, fantasy managers shouldn't be trusting any receivers outside of Moore for a starting lineup spot this weekend.
Dec 18, 2022 • 5:14 PM | RotoBallerDJ Moore Expected To Play Against Steelers
Carolina Panthers wide receiver DJ Moore (ankle) is expected to play in Week 15 against the Pittsburgh Steelers, according to sources. Moore was listed as questionable on Friday's final injury report, but he had a productive week of practice after injuring his ankle in the Week 14 win over the Seattle Seahawks. The 25-year-old put up a donut for his fantasy managers last week when he failed to catch any of his three targets. Moore has been outside the top 30 receivers in half-point PPR scoring this year, and his upside will remain limited with Sam Darnold at quarterback for the Panthers. Still, Moore should be able to bounce back from his zero-point showing in Week 14 as a solid WR3 for fantasy managers against a Steelers defense that gives up plenty of yardage through the air.
Dec 17, 2022 • 5:01 PM | RotoBallerDJ Moore Questionable To Face Steelers
Carolina Panthers wide receiver DJ Moore (ankle) is officially questionable to play against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 15. Moore was a full participant in practice on Wednesday and Thursday but logged a limited session on Friday. Although Moore hasn't been a fantasy superstar this season, his availability is important for fantasy managers heading into a favorable matchup. The Steelers have allowed the sixth-most fantasy points to wide receivers this season, and Moore had one of his best games this season with Sam Darnold under center, catching four passes for 103 yards and a touchdown. If Moore can play, he's a solid flex option with WR2 upside. If he's out, Terrace Marshall and Laviska Shenault enter the fantasy radar as low-upside flex plays in traditional 12-team leagues.
Dec 16, 2022 • 6:11 PM | RotoBallerDJ Moore Practices In Full Wednesday
Carolina Panthers wide receiver DJ Moore (ankle) was a full participant in practice on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Laviska Shenault Jr. (shoulder) was listed as limited. Moore tweaked his ankle in the Week 14 win over the Seattle Seahawks, and although he played 96 percent of the offensive snaps, he came up empty on his three targets. He had an MRI exam on Monday, but apparently it didn't show anything significant and he should be fine for Sunday's game against the Pittsburgh Steelers as long as he doesn't suffer a setback later in the week. In the first game with quarterback Sam Darnold starting in Week 12, Moore caught four of six targets for 103 yards and his fourth touchdown of the year, so he could easily bounce back in Week 15 if he's fully healthy.
Dec 14, 2022 • 8:50 PM | RotoBallerDJ Moore Day-To-Day With Knee Sprain
Carolina Panthers wide receiver DJ Moore (knee) is being considered "day-to-day" with a sprained knee, according to a source. Moore's knee injury that he suffered in the Week 14 win over the Seattle Seahawks is considered "nothing significant." The 25-year-old whiffed on all three of his targets on Sunday before getting injured and not returning, but his fantasy managers have to consider this positive news. Still, he could very well miss Week 15's game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Keep a close eye on his practice status all week. If Moore is forced to miss a game this upcoming weekend, Terrace Marshall Jr., Laviska Shenault Jr. and Shi Smith would have to step up in the passing game. Marshall would be the most attractive flex option, but Carolina's passing attack hasn't exactly been prolific with quarterback Sam Darnold back under center.
Dec 12, 2022 • 11:23 PM | RotoBallerDJ Moore To Undergo MRI On Monday
Carolina Panthers wide receiver DJ Moore (ankle) is set to undergo imaging testing to determine the severity of the injury. The 25-year-old exited Sunday's game with an ankle injury, but the seriousness will be determined after the testing is done. Moore finished without a catch on three targets during the Week 14 matchup with the Seattle Seahawks. He has been boom-or-bust this season, which makes him a tough fantasy option to trust even if he avoids serious injury here. The Panthers have been going run-heavy lately, but Terrace Marshall Jr. Laviska Shenault Jr. and Rashard Higgins would benefit if Moore is forced to miss time. Fantasy managers will have to check back later in the day for more information.
Dec 12, 2022 • 2:18 PM | RotoBallerDJ Moore, Brian Burns Among Panthers Staying Put
The Carolina Panthers are not expected to trade wide receiver DJ Moore, pass rusher Brian Burns, defensive tackle Derrick Brown, or cornerback Jaycee Horn, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN. Even after dealing Christian McCaffrey and Robbie Anderson, Carolina has no intention of tearing apart its entire roster. In fact, Schefter notes that the Panthers rejected an offer of two first-round picks in exchange for Burns. This report doesn't rule out the possibility of the Panthers making more trades, but it does shut down any remaining speculation that the team could trade its stars.
