Denzel Ward Could Miss Third Straight Game
Cleveland Browns cornerback Denzel Ward (head) remains in the league's concussion protocol and is in danger of missing his third straight game in the Week 8 meeting against the Cincinnati Bengals. The Browns struggling defense can ill-afford to be without Ward against a Bengals offense that is really starting to hit their stride after a sluggish start to the season. In last year's win over Cincy, Ward started the game with a 99-yard interception returned for a touchdown in the 41-16 victory. If Ward misses another game, third-round rookie M.J. Emerson Jr. will replace him in the starting lineup for the third straight week. In five games in 2022, Ward has 21 tackles (18 solo) an interception, six passes defensed and a fumble recovery returned for a touchdown.
