Cooper Rush Will Start Against Cincinnati
The Cowboys signed quarterback Cooper Rush to the active roster on Saturday. The 28-year-old will start on Sunday against Cincinnati, with the team also elevating Will Grier from the practice squad to serve as the backup. Rush has started just once throughout his career, completing 24 of his 40 attempts for 325 yards, two touchdowns, and a pick during Dallas' Halloween matchup versus Minnesota last season. Rush is a decent signal-caller and has been on the team's practice unit for years. However, only the most desperate managers should consider starting him in Superflex or two-quarterback leagues in Week 2.

The Dallas Cowboys released quarterback Cooper Rush on Tuesday, according to a person familiar with the move. Rush has accrued at least four years of NFL experience, so he won't be subject to waivers. Rush and Will Grier are both off the initial 53-man roster, but it's likely that at least one of them will return to Dallas to back up starter Dak Prescott in 2022. The 28-year-old Rush completed 31 of his 50 passing attempts for 424 yards, three touchdowns and one interception in 10 games (one start) in his four seasons with the Cowboys.
