Tre'Davious White NEWS
  • Tre'Davious White To Make Season Debut Thursday

Buffalo Bills star cornerback Tre'Davious White (knee) will be active for the first time this season for the Thanksgiving game against the Detroit Lions on Thursday. It's been a year minus a day since White tore his ACL against the New Orleans Saints last Thanksgiving. It remains to be seen how much the 27-year-old will actually be on the field against Detroit after such a long layoff, but it's great news for the Bills defense nonetheless the rest of the season. When healthy, White has proven to be a lockdown cornerback in the NFL, so his return is bad news for quarterback Jared Goff and his receivers on Turkey Day. Taron Johnson has been operating in a starting role for the Bills this year with White sidelined.

  • Tre'Davious White Not Ready To Play

Buffalo Bills head coach Sean McDermott said that cornerback Tre'Davious White (knee) is still unable to play. "I'm not going to get into physical versus mental," McDermott said when asked what was keeping the former Pro Bowl cornerback from being on a game day roster. "He's just not in a position where he's ready." White wasn't on the Week 10 injury report and was a healthy scratch for the Week 10 overtime loss to the Minnesota Vikings, and he doesn't seem any closer to playing in Week 11 against the Cleveland Browns. Buffalo's secondary allowed 357 yards through the air to the Vikings on Sunday, with receiver Justin Jefferson accounting for 197 of those, so they could certainly use White and safety Jordan Poyer (elbow) back. White was activated from Injured Reserve on Nov. 1 but has yet to play in 2022 after tearing his ACL almost a year ago.

  • Tre'Davious White Won't Return Sunday

Buffalo Bills cornerback Tre'Davious White (knee) has been ruled out for Week 10 against the Minnesota Vikings despite not carrying an injury designation into the weekend. White was reinstated from the Physically Unable to Perform list on Nov. 1, but he has remained inactive the last two games. The Bills are being very cautious in bringing White along, even though he hasn't had any setbacks with his surgically repaired left knee. The 27-year-old will now look to make his season debut next week against the Cleveland Browns. The Bills secondary will also be without All-Pro safety Jordan Poyer (elbow), although the Bills defense/special teams is still a strong starting fantasy unit against Minnesota.

  • Bills To Activate Tre'Davious White On Wednesday

The Buffalo Bills confirmed on Monday that they will activate cornerback Tre'Davious White (knee) from the Physically Unable to Perform list and to their active roster on Wednesday, but he'll remain day-to-day. White won't have any status yet for the Week 9 game against the New York Jets, but it's great news regardless that the team will be getting one of their best defensive backs back soon. The 27-year-old was designated to return from the PUP list on Oct. 12, so his 21-day window is closing soon. Once healthy, White will return to a starting role as a lockdown corner for an already strong Buffalo defense. The two-time Pro Bowler had 41 tackles (27 solo), half a sack, six passes defensed, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery in 11 regular season games in 2021.

  • Tre'Davious White Won't Play In Week 8

Buffalo Bills cornerback Tre'Davious White (knee) will not play in Week 8 against the Green Bay Packers on Sunday night, according to head coach Sean McDermott. White was designated to return from the Physically Unable to Perform list before Week 6 and has been practicing, but the Bills aren't ready to have him make his season debut. The 27-year-old is rehabbing from an ACL injury he suffered last year, but if he's not officially activated before the Week 9 game against the New York Jets, he'll be forced to sit out the rest of the 2022 campaign. When healthy, White is one of the best lockdown cornerbacks in the NFL.

  • Tre'Davious White Nearing Return

Buffalo Bills cornerback Tre'Davious White (knee) has missed the first seven weeks of the season to recover from a torn ACL he suffered last year. The 27-year-old resumed practice last week, and according to their defensive coordinator, Leslie Frazier, he is "nearing a return" to action. The former All-Pro is one of the best at his position and would provide a boost to the Buffalo secondary. The Bills currently rank fourth in defensive pass DVOA, so adding White back into the mix would further bolster an already talented group.

  • Tre'Davious White To Miss First Four Games

Buffalo Bills star cornerback Tre'Davious White (knee) will start the year on the Reserve/Physically Unable to Perform list, meaning he'll miss at least the first four games of the regular season. White continues to recover from a knee injury that he suffered last November. When healthy, the 27-year-old is one of the best lockdown cornerbacks in the league, so Buffalo's secondary will be tested early on without him. They'll be looking for Taron Johnson and Dane Jackson to step up, and they also drafted rookie Kaiir Elam in the first round earlier this year. White isn't really much of a factor in IDP fantasy leagues. The two-time Pro Bowler finished 2021 with 41 tackles (27 solo), half a sack, one interception, six passes defensed, one forced fumble and a fumble recovery in 11 regular season starts.
