Falcons Release Auden Tate, Geronimo Allison
The Atlanta Falcons released veteran wide receivers Auden Tate and Geronimo Allison on Tuesday. Neither receiver was able to take advantage of the team's lack of receiver depth in training camp this year behind rookie first-rounder Drake London. They'll both look to latch on with another wideout-needy team before the start of the regular season. Tate, 25, has never played in more than 12 games in his four NFL seasons with the Cincinnati Bengals. He caught just three of four targets for 39 yards and a touchdown in seven games in 2021. After four years with the Green Bay Packers, Allison played in only three games last year for the Detroit Lions and failed to haul in either of his two targets.
