    Aaron Donald Considering Retirement?

Los Angeles Rams defensive lineman Aaron Donald has reportedly considered retiring from the National Football League this offseason. While there hasn't been an official update on Donald's plans, many began to speculate after the veteran changed his Twitter bio to "former NFL D Linemen for the Rams #99." However, he has since removed the update from his Twitter profile. The 31-year-old contemplated calling it quits after the Rams took down the Bengals in Super Bowl LVI. But his contract was reworked, making him the highest-paid non-quarterback in NFL history, so he returned for another season. Donald finished the 2022-23 campaign by amassing 49 total tackles and a career-low five sacks. Yet, he appeared in only 11 games, with his year getting cut short due to an ankle injury. Nevertheless, the All-Pro likely has plenty of gas left in the tank, so dynasty managers should keep him on the roster, at least for now. Considering head coach Sean McVay and quarterback Matthew Stafford are returning could be enough to bring Donald back for at least one more season. There's also rumblings he may out of Los Angeles after spending his entire nine-year career with the organization.

Aaron Donald Ruled Out, Likely Done For The Year

The Los Angeles Rams ruled out defensive tackle Aaron Donald (ankle) for the Week 16 game against the Denver Broncos on Christmas Day on Sunday, according to head coach Sean McVay. It's unlikely that Donald will play again this year. The 31-year-old All-Pro will miss his fourth straight game this weekend and will most likely miss Weeks 17 and 18 as well. It's not a big surprise with the Rams highly unlikely to make the postseason a year after winning the Super Bowl. He will wrap up his 2022 season with 49 tackles (27 solo), five sacks, 10 tackles for loss, 11 QB hits, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery in his 11 starts. It's the first time since 2016 that Donald hasn't had double-digit sacks, but he's likely to bounce back with better health in 2023.

Aaron Donald Out Again On Monday Night

Los Angeles Rams defensive tackle Aaron Donald (ankle) won't play on Monday night in Green Bay. The veteran will now miss his third straight contest because of a high-ankle sprain. The 31-year-old All-Pro has taken a step back in terms of production this season, amassing 49 total tackles and five sacks. With L.A. sitting at 4-9, it's certainly possible Donald could be done for the rest of the 2022-23 campaign, so fantasy managers playing in their league's postseason should plan accordingly.

Aaron Donald Ruled Out For Thursday Night

The Los Angeles Rams ruled out All-Pro defensive tackle Aaron Donald (ankle) for the Thursday night game against the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 14. Donald will miss his second straight game while dealing with a mild high-ankle sprain. Although it probably makes more sense to shut it down for the year with the Rams out of playoff contention, the 31-year-old is planning to return before the end of the season. These are the first two games missed of Donald's career due to injury, so he clearly takes pride in being available on game days. If Donald does return this year, the Rams could limit his snaps, making him a volatile IDP option. Against a Raiders team that has been firing on all cylinders offensively, the Rams defensive unit should be avoided in fantasy this week, especially without their best player.

Aaron Donald Hopes To Return Week 15

Los Angeles Rams defensive lineman Aaron Donald (ankle) is targeting a Week 15 return and has no interest in sitting out the rest of the season, according to NFL.com's Ian Rapoport. While Cooper Kupp (ankle) and Matthew Stafford (neck) have been placed on IR and might only return if the Rams are in playoff contention, Donald has avoided placement on IR and intends to play as soon as he is healthy, regardless of his team's record. Through 11 games, the 31-year-old has registered 49 tackles, five sacks, and one fumble recovery. His defensive prowess will help the Rams as they look to play spoiler against the Packers in Week 15, Chargers in Week 17, and Seahawks in Week 18.

Aaron Donald Ruled Out Against Seattle

Los Angeles Rams defensive tackle Aaron Donald (ankle) has been ruled out for Week 13 against the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday. Donald is dealing with a high-ankle sprain and could miss more time beyond this weekend, but the good news is that he won't need surgery and is considered week-to-week. But with the Rams well out of playoff contention, there's a chance the 31-year-old won't play again in 2022. Fantasy managers in IDP leagues need to have other options at defensive line ready for this weekend and beyond. The Rams defense/special teams will take a big hit without Donald in the fold against a potent Seahawks defense. Donald, an eight-time Pro Bowler, is in danger of failing to reach double-digit sacks in 2022 for the first time since 2016. He has just five through 11 games.

Aaron Donald Dealing With High-Ankle Sprain

The Los Angeles Rams believe that All-Pro pass-rusher Aaron Donald (ankle) is dealing with a high-ankle sprain, according to head coach Sean McVay. Donald sprained his ankle in the Week 12 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs and appears set to miss some time. If the 31-year-old indeed is suffering from a high-ankle sprain, he could miss anywhere from four to six weeks, which would be a significant blow to the disappointing Rams coming off a Super Bowl season in 2021. The eight-time Pro Bowler has five sacks, 49 tackles (27 solo), 10 tackles for loss, 11 QB hits, a forced fumble and one fumble recovery in 11 games played this year. He's now in danger of failing to record double-digit sacks in a season for the first time since 2016.

Aaron Donald Active In Week 6

Los Angeles Rams defensive lineman Aaron Donald (foot) is officially active against the Carolina Panthers in Week 6. Donald, who was listed as questionable, has continued to be a star in his age-31 season, amassing 21 tackles, four sacks, and one fumble recovery through five games. Look for him to create problems against P.J. Walker and the Panthers' underachieving offense this week.

Aaron Donald On Track To Play Sunday

Los Angeles Rams defensive lineman Aaron Donald (foot) is expected to play against the Carolina Panthers in Week 6 despite being listed as questionable, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. Donald has continued to be a defensive star in his age-31 season, amassing 21 tackles, four sacks, and one fumble recovery through five games. His presence will help the Rams wreak havoc for Panthers quarterback P.J. Walker in his first start of 2022.

Aaron Donald Questionable For Week 6

Los Angeles Rams All-Pro pass-rusher Aaron Donald (foot) is officially listed as questionable for the Week 6 game against the Carolina Panthers, but head coach Sean McVay expects Donald to play this Sunday. Donald and the Rams defense/special teams are must-starts for fantasy managers this weekend with the Panthers starting P.J. Walker under center for just the third time in his career. The 31-year-old defensive tackle has four sacks, 21 tackles (12 solo), six tackles for loss, six QB hits, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery in his first five games of the 2022 campaign.

Aaron Donald Misses Practice With Foot injury

Los Angeles Rams defensive tackle Aaron Donald (foot) was absent from Wednesday's practice. The All-Pro put together a strong performance in Week 5 with two sacks against the Dallas Cowboys. When speaking to the media regarding this injury, head coach Sean McVay told reporters that he doesn't expect this to limit Donald's availability for Sunday's matchup against the Carolina Panthers. Signs seem to be pointing toward Donald playing in Week 6, but this is something to monitor.

Aaron Donald Swings His Helmet At Joint Practice

Los Angeles Rams defensive tackle Aaron Donald was recorded swinging a helmet during a joint practice quarrel with the Cincinnati Bengals. Multiple punches were thrown during the incident on Thursday, with Donald eventually being knocked to the ground and restrained. Browns defensive end Myles Garrett received a six-game suspension for the same act toward Steelers quarterback Mason Rudolph during a game back in 2019. However, since the NFL has a history of looking the other way regarding physical altercations at joint practices, Donald may not be punished in any capacity. Still, considering the 31-year-old has been a top IDP producer, fantasy managers will want to watch how this one plays out.
