  Cowboys Not Closing The Door On Odell Beckham Jr.

  Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones hinted that the team could still sign free-agent wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. (knee) despite adding veteran wideout T.Y. Hilton earlier this week. Many out there are even wondering if Beckham will be physically able to play this year after tearing his ACL in the Super Bowl while playing for the Los Angeles Rams. "Great players make great plays," Jones said. "Great ones make exceptional plays. And so I hope we advance here where a handful of great plays, if I may be arm waving about it, could be the difference in a world championship." OBJ really only wants to play in the postseason, and he might not be fully healthy until then, either. Perhaps the Cowboys sign him now and hope that he can help carry them to the Super Bowl like he did with the Rams last year.

  Free agent wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. visited with three NFL teams this past week but was unable to strike a deal, according to NFL.com's Ian Rapoport. Teams were left in a difficult position considering Beckham didn't put wear pads or run his full route tree during visits. Plus, while his recovery is going well, he is still not healthy enough to play. Rapoport added that Beckham, who visited with the Cowboys, Giants, and Bills, sought a multi-year, big-money deal that would allow him to finish his career with a contender. However, given the current state of his recovery, teams didn't even discuss financial terms with the veteran, let alone make an offer. With no deal imminent, the waiting game continues.

  Free-agent wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. (knee) said, "I don't see the point of playing in the regular season." Coming back from a torn ACL in January, there's is some doubt as to whether OBJ would even be physically able to return before the end of the regular season in five weeks. The 30-year-old wideout joined the Los Angeles Rams late in the regular season before hitting his stride in the playoffs on the way to a Super Bowl appearance. He hasn't had any offers from the three interested teams, and it feels more likely that he'll remain on the free-agent market than in 2021 because of his injury question marks. Beckham can be left to the waiver wire in single-season fantasy leagues.

  The Dallas Cowboys didn't make an offer to free-agent wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. (knee) after meeting with him earlier this week, according to a source informed of the situation. OBJ didn't work out for any of the three teams (Cowboys, Giants, Bills) that he visited within the last week. There doesn't seem to be as much optimism surrounding Beckham as their was before his visits. Cowboys pass-rusher Micah Parsons said that Beckham told him he could be ready to play in five weeks. Coincidentally, there are five weeks left in the regular season. There's an outside chance that Beckham might be able to help a team in the postseason, but he won't be helping any managers in the fantasy playoffs.
