Cowboys Not Closing The Door On Odell Beckham Jr.

Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones hinted that the team could still sign free-agent wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. (knee) despite adding veteran wideout T.Y. Hilton earlier this week. Many out there are even wondering if Beckham will be physically able to play this year after tearing his ACL in the Super Bowl while playing for the Los Angeles Rams. "Great players make great plays," Jones said. "Great ones make exceptional plays. And so I hope we advance here where a handful of great plays, if I may be arm waving about it, could be the difference in a world championship." OBJ really only wants to play in the postseason, and he might not be fully healthy until then, either. Perhaps the Cowboys sign him now and hope that he can help carry them to the Super Bowl like he did with the Rams last year.

No Deal Imminent For Odell Beckham Jr.

Free agent wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. visited with three NFL teams this past week but was unable to strike a deal, according to NFL.com's Ian Rapoport. Teams were left in a difficult position considering Beckham didn't put wear pads or run his full route tree during visits. Plus, while his recovery is going well, he is still not healthy enough to play. Rapoport added that Beckham, who visited with the Cowboys, Giants, and Bills, sought a multi-year, big-money deal that would allow him to finish his career with a contender. However, given the current state of his recovery, teams didn't even discuss financial terms with the veteran, let alone make an offer. With no deal imminent, the waiting game continues.

Odell Beckham Jr. Only Wants To Play In Postseason

Free-agent wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. (knee) said, "I don't see the point of playing in the regular season." Beckham met with the New York Giants, Buffalo Bills and Dallas Cowboys within the last week, but he didn't work out for any of them. Coming back from a torn ACL in January, there's is some doubt as to whether OBJ would even be physically able to return before the end of the regular season in five weeks. The 30-year-old wideout joined the Los Angeles Rams late in the regular season before hitting his stride in the playoffs on the way to a Super Bowl appearance. He hasn't had any offers from the three interested teams, and it feels more likely that he'll remain on the free-agent market than in 2021 because of his injury question marks. Beckham can be left to the waiver wire in single-season fantasy leagues.

Cowboys Haven't Made Offer To Odell Beckham Jr.

The Dallas Cowboys didn't make an offer to free-agent wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. (knee) after meeting with him earlier this week, according to a source informed of the situation. The Cowboys have serious concerns about Beckham's ability to return this year from a torn ACL suffered in January. OBJ didn't work out for any of the three teams (Cowboys, Giants, Bills) that he visited within the last week. There doesn't seem to be as much optimism surrounding Beckham as their was before his visits. Cowboys pass-rusher Micah Parsons said that Beckham told him he could be ready to play in five weeks. Coincidentally, there are five weeks left in the regular season. There's an outside chance that Beckham might be able to help a team in the postseason, but he won't be helping any managers in the fantasy playoffs.

Cowboys Not Confident In Odell Beckham Jr.'s Health

The Dallas Cowboys met with free-agent wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. (knee) on Monday and will continue to meet "to make sure we cover all the things that are important to him and important to us," according to owner Jerry Jones. The biggest question of all is the health of Beckham after he tore his ACL in last year's Super Bowl. "I'm not confident at all," Jones said. "And, so, that's the issue. Now, we all realize that issue of health, that issue of availability is here every time. Just this one is very obvious and very pointed toward his injury that occurred last year in the Super Bowl." The 30-year-old hasn't worked out for any of the teams he's visited this week, casting doubt about his potential availability for the rest of this year.

Odell Beckham Jr. Might Not Play This Year

There is "considerable doubt" around the league that free-agent wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. (knee) is healthy enough to play football this year, according to an NFC executive. It's a problem because Beckham has told teams he's seeking a multi-year deal that he hopes will end up being worth $20 million per season. He met with his old team, the New York Giants, on Thursday, but the Giants remain "the longest of long shots" to sign OBJ. The most likely team to sign him remains the Dallas Cowboys, who have been talking Beckham up for months. Beckham tore the ACL in his left knee twice in a 16-month span, with the last time less than 10 months ago in the Super Bowl. The Buffalo Bills will also visit with Beckham this weekend. If he signs with a team soon, there's no guarantee he'll become fantasy relevant anytime soon.

Odell Beckham Jr. Not Expected To Play Until Late December

Free-agent wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. (knee) isn't expected to play before the end of December, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. The wideout has several visits with teams on the horizon, specifically with the Giants, Bills, and Cowboys. While many fantasy managers have already stashed Beckham on their roster, he realistically may not be useful to anyone anytime soon. That said, even if he suits up before the fantasy season concludes, it could take him time to learn a new system, likely limiting his impact for managers.

Odell Beckham Jr. May Sign With Team In Next Few Weeks

Free-agent wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. (knee) could sign with a team before the end of November, according to ESPN senior NFL insider Adam Schefter. The wideout hopes to play for a contender, so his list of potential suitors includes the Cowboys, Bills, Chiefs, 49ers, and his former team, the New York Giants. While he is rumored to be in the market for a $5 million deal, a multiyear contract isn't out of the question, especially since it could provide clubs flexibility from a financial standpoint. Beckham is forecasted to be cleared by his surgeon soon. However, he may not be up to speed with his new squad in time to make a significant difference for fantasy managers. With that said, the 30-year-old can be added to fantasy rosters and stashed for those in desperate need of a wide receiver with upside.

49ers Could Pursue Odell Beckham Jr.

San Francisco 49ers general manager John Lynch didn't shoot down the idea of pursuing free-agent wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. (knee), who continues to rehab from a torn ACL suffered in the Super Bowl in February. Head coach Kyle Shanahan has long been an admirer of Beckham, who is hoping to sign with a team once he's healthy at some point in December. "Look, we never say no," Lynch said. "We're always looking to get better. And it's a rarity when you have a player of that ilk and some other names out there that still might be available. And we always will look." The Niners are on bye in Week 9 but resume their season next weekend against the Los Angeles Chargers. Beckham showed last year that he can help carry a team in the postseason, but it remains to be seen how effective he'll be in 2022 coming off a serious knee injury.

Odell Beckham Jr. May Not Return Until December

The realistic time frame for free-agent wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. (knee) to be recovered from his torn ACL and available to play is around mid-December, according to two team executives familiar with Beckham's situation. The Los Angeles Rams gave Beckham a low-ball offer recently, but they could increase their offer the closer OBJ gets to being fully recovered. Other teams will be interested as well, such as the Packers, Bills and perhaps the Buccaneers. But with the 29-year-old not being ready until possibly December, he's not going to make much of an impact in fantasy this year. Beckham made a big impact for the Rams on their run to the Super Bowl last year, so interested teams will be hoping he can do the same for them later this season.

Packers Could Be Interested In Odell Beckham Jr.

The Green Bay Packers are among the teams with the most interest in free-agent wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. (knee), who is eyeing a mid-November return after suffering a torn ACL in the Super Bowl win over the Cincinnati Bengals. Along with the Packers, the Los Angeles Rams and Buffalo Bills are believed to have the most interest in the rehabbing Beckham. The Packers were interested in Beckham last year before he signed with the Rams. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are another team that could be interested in bringing OBJ into the fold for the latter part of the 2022 season. The Rams make the most sense because of his familiarity with their offense from last year and due to the fact that Allen Robinson II has been a huge disappointment early on.

Odell Beckham Jr. Targeting Mid-November Return

Free agent wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr., who is recovering from an ACL tear, is targeting a mid-November return. Since teams are unlikely to sign the veteran until he is healthy, "an imminent signing would be a major surprise," writes Ian Rapoport of NFL.com. With that said, Beckham is the top player available at the wide receiver position, so there could be a mad rush to negotiate with him once he is ready to return. Additionally, the trade deadline will have passed by mid-November, only adding to Beckham's appeal on the open market. He is a solid stash in fantasy leagues with deep benches considering he should have a sizable role upon his return.
