Bills Release Tavon Austin
The Buffalo Bills released wide receiver Tavon Austin and punter Matt Haack on Monday. There were just too many talented and younger receivers on the Bills roster ahead of Austin, so he'll have to look to latch on with another team before the start of the 2022 regular season. The former first-round pick of the Los Angeles Rams back in 2013 has never lived up to the hype and was mostly a gadget player in his five seasons with the Rams from 2013-17. Since then, he's bounced around with the Dallas Cowboys, Green Bay Packers and Jacksonville Jaguars. In 13 games (three starts) with the Jags in 2021, Austin caught 24 passes for 213 yards and one touchdown on 37 targets.
