Josh Jacobs, Brandon Bolden Officially Active In Week 13

Las Vegas Raiders running backs Josh Jacobs (calf) and Brandon Bolden (calf) are officially active for Sunday's game against the Los Angeles Chargers. Both players were listed as questionable after being limited in practice all week long. Jacobs followed a similar injury pattern last week, receiving the "questionable" designation but ultimately being active. He even missed a few snaps during the contest, then proceeded to register a record-breaking 303 scrimmage yards. Thus, fantasy managers should have no hesitance when starting Jacobs this week. He has shown that he can perform at a high level even after recovering from injury. On the other hand, Bolden should be near 100 percent, but he is still a depth piece in the Raiders' offense and should be left on waivers in fantasy leagues.

    Josh Jacobs, Brandon Bolden Questionable

Las Vegas Raiders running backs Josh Jacobs (calf) and Brandon Bolden (calf) were both limited in practice all week and are questionable for Week 13 against the Los Angeles Chargers. Jacobs aggravated a left calf injury in the Week 12 win over the Seattle Seahawks, but he also ran for over 200 yards and two touchdowns on 33 carries and added six catches for 74 yards. The overall RB1 on the year looks to be on the right side of questionable for this weekend and should remain plastered to all starting fantasy lineups against a suspect Chargers run defense. In the season opener against LA, Jacobs had a season-low 10 carries for 57 yards and caught his only target for a 16-yard gain. If the 24-year-old is limited our out altogether, Ameer Abdullah and rookie Zamir White figure to split the backfield.

Josh Jacobs, Brandon Bolden Limited Thursday

Las Vegas Raiders running backs Josh Jacobs (calf) and Brandon Bolden (calf) were both limited in practice on Thursday for the second straight day. The Raiders were hoping Jacobs would be available to play in Week 13 against the Los Angeles Chargers after he aggravated his left calf injury in Week 12, and all signs are pointing toward Jacobs being available. The 24-year-old is now the overall RB1 in half-point PPR scoring after going off for a career-high 229 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 33 carries last Sunday. He also caught six of seven targets for a season-high 74 yards in the overtime win over the Seattle Seahawks. If Jacobs is active on Sunday, which is looks like he will be, he's an absolute must-start RB1 against the Chargers' shaky run defense.

    Brandon Bolden Limited Wednesday

Las Vegas Raiders running back Brandon Bolden (calf) was limited in Wednesday's practice. The 32-year-old exited the Week 12 win over the Seahawks early with a calf issue. He rushed for 10 yards on two attempts and caught all five targets for 32 yards during last Sunday's win. The severity of Bolden's calf injury is unknown, and he is considered day-to-day. Bolden will have two more chances to practice to have a chance of suiting up against the Chargers in Week 13. The veteran back is mainly used on special teams and has a minor role in the passing game, making him a dart throw at best in deep-league formats.

Brandon Bolden Cleared To Play In Week 3

Las Vegas Raiders running back Brandon Bolden (hamstring), who was inactive for the Week 2 overtime loss to the Arizona Cardinals, got in a full practice on Friday and doesn't carry an injury designation into the Week 3 game against the Tennessee Titans. The 32-year-old could be in for a big backfield role this weekend with Josh Jacobs (illness) questionable to play. Jacobs notably didn't travel with the team on Friday, either. In the season opener, Bolden played just 28 percent of the offensive snaps and had three carries for seven yards, adding two catches for 21 yards and a touchdown. Even if Jacobs is inactive, Bolden will be a deep-league flex option, at best, while likely sharing touches with Ameer Abdullah and rookie Zamir White.

Brandon Bolden Returns To Limited Practice On Wednesday

Las Vegas Raiders running back Brandon Bolden (hamstring) was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice. The 11th-year veteran was absent in Week 2 with a hamstring injury, but he seems to be making progress toward appearing in Week 3 based on this limited practice. Bolden is a member of a messy Raider backfield behind Josh Jacobs that includes Ameer Abdullah and Zamir White. With there being no clear backup, he can't be considered a relevant option for fantasy at the moment.

Brandon Bolden Inactive For Week 2

Las Vegas Raiders running back Brandon Bolden (hamstring) is officially inactive for Week 2 against the Arizona Cardinals. He had been listed as doubtful, so his absence on Sunday comes as no surprise. Bolden logged a receiving touchdown in Week 1 but doesn't have a major impact on offense. Ameer Abdullah and Zamir White will fill depth roles with Bolden sidelined, but neither of them is worth starting in fantasy football.

Brandon Bolden Doubtful To Face The Cardinals

Las Vegas Raiders running back Brandon Bolden (hamstring) is listed as doubtful for Week 2 against the Arizona Cardinals after not practicing all week. Meanwhile, linebacker Denzel Perryman (ankle) has been ruled out after he also missed practice all week. Bolden played 28 percent of the offensive snaps in the Week 1 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers, carrying the ball three times for seven yards and catching both of his targets for 21 yards and a touchdown. With the 32-year-old likely out this Sunday, expect to see more of Ameer Abdullah and rookie Zamir White in a change-of-pace role behind starter Josh Jacobs.

    Brandon Bolden Misses Practice Thursday

Las Vegas Raiders running back Brandon Bolden (hamstring) did not practice Thursday. He's now missed back-to-back sessions due to a hamstring issue. Before his injury in the Week 1 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers, he rushed three times for seven yards while securing both targets for 21 yards and a touchdown while logging 16 snaps. The 32-year-old is trending in the wrong direction and could miss Week 2 against the Arizona Cardinals. If Bolden is inactive, Zamir White and Ameer Abdullah will work behind starter Josh Jacobs.

    Brandon Bolden Doesn't Practice Wednesday

Las Vegas Raiders running back Brandon Bolden (hamstring) was listed as a non-participant in practice on Wednesday. Before his injury in the Week 1 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers, Bolden played 28% of the snaps behind starter Josh Jacobs and carried the ball three times for seven yards, adding two receptions for 21 yards and a touchdown. He'll have two more chances to return to practice this week, but he's lining up to be at least questionable for Week 2 against the Arizona Cardinals. The 32-year-old is merely a deep-league PPR stash for the time being. If he's inactive on Sunday, Ameer Abdullah and rookie Zamir White will likely split the change-of-pace snaps behind Jacobs.

Brandon Bolden Won't Return In Week 1

Las Vegas Raiders running back Brandon Bolden (hamstring) won't return to the Week 1 matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers. Bolden only had three carries for seven yards on the ground. However, he made some noise by accumulating two catches for 21 yards and a touchdown, pulling in an 18-yard pass from Derek Carr early in the third quarter. It appears the veteran will have a role supporting Josh Jacobs through the year. But if he can't go in Week 2 versus the Cardinals, rookie Zamir White should be more involved.
