Who is the NBA’s youngest coach?

The two youngest coaches in the league are Joe Mazzulla of the Celtics and Will Hardy of the Jazz. They both took their new positions during the 2022 offseason, and they are both 34 years old.

To replace Quin Snyder, Utah chose Hardy, a longtime assistant at Boston. After suspending Ime Udoka for the entire 2022–23 season, the Celtics chose Mazzulla as the team’s interim HC.

Who is the NBA’s senior coach?

Popovich is currently the coach who is both the oldest and most successful. The 73-year-old Spurs great leads all league players in regular season victories. All five of the team’s NBA championships have been won under his leadership.

Before Hardy and Mazzulla earned their new titles, Thunder’s Mark Daigneault was the youngest coach in the league at 37 years old. Grizzlies’ Taylor Jenkins, 38, is the only other NBA coach under the age of 40.

Pistons’ Dwane Casey is the second-oldest coach in the league at 65 years old. Knicks coach Tom Thibodeau, 64, will join Casey and Popovich in the 65-and-older club later this season.
