‘You Hurt Me to the Body So Bad’- Henry Cejudo Drops His ‘King of Cringe’ Persona In Conversation With a Former Rival

Two all-time UFC greats finally sat down with each other face-to-face and looked back at their fighting days and overall rivalry that spanned two fights. Henry Cejudo hosted former opponent Demetrious Johnson at his house and teased the podcast-style sit-down interview to fans prior to releasing a snippet on his social media.

The brief 58-second clip saw both men reminisce about their first encounter that took place all the way back at UFC 197, back in 2016. ‘Mighty Mouse’ came out on top when he faced Henry Cejudo for the first time and he did so by landing some crippling knees to Henry Cejudo’s body. ‘Triple C’ couldn’t take the onslaught and suffered a TKO loss that he would eventually go on to avenge down the road.

Henry Cejudo shows fans a new side to himself

Demetrious Johnson explained how when he fought Henry Cejudo the first time, he was able to positionally determine what would work and what wouldn’t. However, it was Henry Cejudo’s response to Johnson’s statement that surprised fans.

“The first time we fought, you were very comfortable in the clinch, the wrestling clinch. I was like perfect. Once we got up and I start throwing knees in my Muay Thai clinch and I realize you got hurt and then I just went after you.”

He is often engaged in his ‘King of Cringe’ persona that has undoubtedly garnered a lot of attention and fame in the last few years. However, he candidly admitted to being hurt badly when facing ‘Mighty Mouse’ for the first time in this recent conversation.
