“You Got to be Smart About Your Training”- Darren Till Breaks Down His Intense Training Sessions with Khamzat Chimaev

UFC middleweight contender Darren Till spoke to Submission Radio and talked about his own career as he continues his journey towards a UFC championship belt. To that end, he also went in on his training for his upcoming bout which is primed to be a crucial match-up for him.

Till has failed to find a consistent footing in his UFC career and it’s crucial that he starts racking up impressive wins in order to make a big splash. UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya has gone on record saying that Darren Till is a worthy contender who simply needs to put a few good wins together in order to claim a title shot.

All eyes will be on Till as he aims to square up against top names in the uber-competitive 185-pound division.

Darren Till opens up on training with Khamzat Chimaev

‘The Gorilla’ has been training extensively in Stockholm, Sweden over at Allstars Training Center with Khamzat Chimaev as his principal training partner. Chimaev’s wrestling prowess would certainly be a huge boost to Darren Till’s overall game especially since Derek Brunson exposed some holes in his game.

Additionally, Till also trains with heavyweight sensation Tom Aspinall and that will certainly help him sharpen his skills.

“I’m training with high level guys. Obviously, me, Tom [Aspinall] and Khamzat are all the at the highest level you can get in MMA like there’s no higher level, you’re at the peak of performance.”

“It’s different with Tom obviously, Tom being a heavyweight… I know I’m not going to stop doing what I’m doing until I reach my goal which is to be a UFC world champion. I know Khamzat wants the same. I know Tom wants the same. So, that’s a combination right there… You need these training partners, these guys like Khamzat. You got to be smart about your training.”

Training with the likes of future championship-level prospects like Chimaev and Aspinall will be beneficial to Darren Till who is in a slump at the moment. He is currently 1-4 in his last five fights with his only notable win coming against Kelvin Gastelum at UFC 244
