Yankees Manager Aaron Boone Screams At Jays Coach Pete Walker: ‘sit the f–k down’

Fans and players were riveted as the heated rivalry between the Toronto Blue Jays and the New York Yankees reached a boiling point during the series finale on Thursday. The game was characterized by tension and hostility, which reached a boiling point when Yankees manager Aaron Boone exploded at Blue Jays pitching coach Pete Walker.

Yankees Manager Aaron Boone Screams At Jays Coach Pete Walker: ‘Sit the f–k down’

On Thursday, during New York’s 4-2 triumph, Yankees manager Aaron Boone looked to shout at Blue Jays pitching coach Pete Walker.

The pitching instructor waived his hand in dismissive response as Boone aggressively pointed at Walker in the video. Intensity permeated the exchange, escalating the already tense situation.

“You’re f—— crazy. You’re crazy,” Boone appeared to shout. “Pete, sit the f— down.”

Boone didn’t speak much about it following Thursday’s victory and seems irritated by the constant arguments between the dugouts this week.

Walker was shouting at Yankees third base coach Luis Rojas, according to Boone’s claims following the game.

“Oh, I don’t know. He was yelling at Luis again,” Boone said, according to NJ.com. “I’m glad we’re leaving. I was trying to stay out of [interacting with their] dugout and I violated my own rules to our guys, so I apologize for that.”

The first game of the four-game series saw chirps from both teams after the Blue Jays broadcast team noticed Aaron Judge looking towards his own dugout during an at-bat and implied that Judge was stealing signs.

There were several conflicts between the two teams before to this one. When cameras captured Yankees slugger Aaron Judge casting strange looks during an at-bat, the tension erupted and the Yankees were accused of cheating.

Domingo German, the Yankees’ starting pitcher, was also dismissed and given a suspension for having an object in his hand.

The antagonism was further fueled when Blue Jays manager John Schneider engaged in a heated argument with the Yankees’ dugout.

Additionally, there was a disagreement between the Blue Jays and Yankees on where coaches should stand in foul area, and Toronto manager John Schneider referred to New York assistant hitting coach Brad Wilkerson as a “fat boy.”

In the end, the Yankees prevailed 4-2 in the last game to claim a 3-1 victory in the contentious series. It goes without saying that it is unfortunate that the Yankees and Blue Jays won’t play again until late September.
