WWE legend Drew Gulak reacts to Ronda Rousey’s backstage behavior accusation regarding a “pulled drawstring” incident

In response to Ronda Rousey’s claim that WWE star Drew Gulak improperly tugged on her pant drawstrings backstage, Gulak has made a public statement.

This Saturday and Sunday is WrestleMania 40, the biggest event of the year for the WWE, and preparations are underway for it.

But one well-known figure who won’t be taking part is 37-year-old UFC legend Ronda Rousey.

In 2018, “Rowdy” made the jump to professional wrestling, winning three titles in the WWE before departing the organization in October.

After losing to her closest friend Shayna Baszler in her final bout with the organization at SummerSlam in August, she was seen backstage at AEW Collision and AEW Rampage until her unexpected comeback to the ring in November.

Since then, her former wealthy WWE CEO McMahon has dominated news reports due to allegations of sexual assault, human trafficking, and physical abuse made by Janel Grant, a former WWE employee. The 78-year-old rejects all of these claims.

She also took the publication of her new autobiography as an opportunity to criticize her old employer, saying last week that it is “hard to know where the evil, unethical, slimeball character on-screen character ends.”

But on Tuesday, Rousey was on NewsNation, where she said that as she was waiting to talk to Triple H outside a writers’ room backstage, someone had taken hold of her sweatpants’ string.

She continued by identifying Gulak, a 36-year-old WWE employee who has worked for the company since 2016, as the purported offender. Gulak presently competes on the NXT brand.

This sparked a heated debate on social media prior to Gulak—real name Andrew Gulak—responding to the accusations on X.

He further asserted that he had already expressed regret for the embarrassing circumstance, which he described as a “complete accident.”

Gulak composed: “Backstage at a WWE event in 2022, I saw Ronda talking with a group in the hallway.

“I stopped to say hi and shake all their hands, and in an attempt to shake her hand, I accidentally touched her drawstring.

“Complete accident, and one that I had apologized to her for the mishap.”
