“Wouldn’t Take That Much Less”: Von Miller Opens Up on the Humiliating Bid Received From Dallas Cowboys
Early in free agency, Randy Gregory pulled out of a deal with the Cowboys, and rumors spread that the NFC East club was doing its homework to pursue Von Miller to meet their need for a pass rusher. In this generation, Von Miller, who was linked with Dallas Cowboys, has already left his stamp. His 115.5 career sacks have earned him eight trips to the Pro Bowl.
Miller was chosen for the Pro Football Hall of Fame’s all-decade squad for the 2010s and is a two-time Super Bowl champion. Despite all of his accomplishments, Miller, 33, apparently wants to accomplish much more.

In March, he agreed to a six-year, $120 million deal with the Buffalo Bills. Additionally, he disclosed to Buffalo News his intention to carry out the whole duration of the contract. Buffalo’s pact includes a $45 million amount that is 100 percent guaranteed, but no money is pledged after 2024. To get the AAV to $20 million, a large final-year pay increase is also added.

Von Miller opens up on rejecting Dallas Cowboys
Miller told Pompei that he would have contemplated accepting less to play for the Cowboys, but their offer wasn’t near enough to the one he took from the Bills. Miller also received an offer with two guaranteed years from the Rams. That deal was a six-year, $120 million agreement with a $51.4 million first-year guarantee.
“I told them I was ready to come to the Cowboys,” Miller said.
“I would have taken less to go to Dallas because it’s Dallas. But I wouldn’t take that much less.”
Miller has stated that he intends to fulfill the entirety of his six-year contract with the Bills. That might not occur, but completing the third year that led to his transfer to Buffalo might be sufficient to dash any dreams of playing for the Cowboys before his career is through.
