WNBA Player Lexie Brown Calls Out Ice Cube For Making $5 Million Offer To Caitlin Clark
The rapper-turned-business entrepreneur reportedly promised Clark $5 million to participate in his BIG3 basketball league the next season, according to TMZ on Wednesday morning.
The Big3 men’s basketball league’s creator, Ice Cube, has made Caitlin Clark an alluring offer, putting up a substantial $5 million in exchange for her playing in just 10 games.
Current job offers for Caitlin Clark after college:
– WNBA ($76,000 a year to play a 40 game season)
– Ice Cube ($5 million to play 10 games in the Big 3 league)
– Dave Portnoy ($10 million to play on the Barstool Intramural Team) pic.twitter.com/hFNcWEyjro

The basketball world is extremely divided about this offer, which could make Clark one of the highest-paid players in the league per game.
This WNBA season, the Sparks player, who will make little over $80,000, took to X to vent to Ice Cube.
“so no other women’s basketball player has came to mind in the last 7 years?” .. “Instead of i don’t know, supporting the women’s league that already exists…let’s do this…in the middle of the NCAA tournament. men are HILARIOUS,” the former Duke player tweeted.
"To mask it in this "I want to uplift and support WNBA players and women athletes” is kind of a cop out I think."

Lexie Brown said later that she is not trying to criticize Clark but rather that she simply wants support for all women.
For context, Brown played a little overseas and made over $300,000 in her first six WNBA seasons. She appears to be speaking out of envy in her remarks.
While Brown’s remarks have stirred controversy, some contend that Ice Cube’s offer is a reflection of his desire to make news and raise awareness of the Big3 league.

However, Brown is unwavering in her conviction that these acts impede the advancement of women’s basketball in general.
