Due to her passion for sharing pictures of herself wearing different outfits, LSU Tigers player Angel Reese has given some fans reason to think that she may forego playing in the WNBA in favor of pursuing a career in modeling. These rumors were solidified by remarks she made in the past.
There’s no need to quit the NCAA just yet, according to Reese, 21, who has claimed that she is already earning more money from NIL deals than some WNBA stars. But what about the next one or the next year?
Perhaps the next Liz Cambage can be Angel Reese.

While other former WNBA players, like Liz Cambage, went on to become models while still playing basketball, Reese may be prepared to choose a different career path and doesn’t require any further exposure from the league.

Despite attending the tryouts, Reese was left off of the final roster for the US squad competing in the 2017 FIBA Under-16 Women’s Americas Championship. She was a finalist but did not make the 2018 Under-17 World Cup squad.
Prior to pulling out to compete in the Nike EYBL, Reese was designated a finalist for the 2019 Under-19 World Cup squad. She was invited to team trials and made it to the finals before withdrawing from consideration for the 2021 Under-19 World Cup due to health issues.

At the 2023 FIBA Women’s AmeriCup in Mexico, Reese made her debut for the US national team. She led her team to an 80–54 victory over Venezuela in her debut game with 11 points and 9 rebounds.

In a 68-49 victory over Colombia in the quarterfinals, Reese finished with 13 points and 18 rebounds. In the final, a 69-58 loss to Brazil, she recorded four points and six rebounds to assist her team earn the silver medal.
