Will Levis’s Habit Of Adding Mayo To Coffee Brings Him A Lifelong Contract With Hellmann

Some sponsorship agreements in the world of sports just organically occur, such as the one between Tennessee Titans quarterback Will Levis and Hellmann. In a video released on Tuesday, Hellmann’s said that Levis had signed a “lifetime contract.”

When Levis, the starting quarterback for Kentucky, was making the rounds at SEC Media Day, he switched mayo for creamer in his coffee, which is when this match made in condiment heaven truly started. Since that video went viral, mayo and Levis have become synonymous.

In a TikTok video that has received close to one million views since it was uploaded in 2021, Levis initially discussed his preferred coffee creamer alternative. His fiancée offers him cream for his coffee while they are dining out, but he rejects it.

‘Oh, so you drink your coffee black?” she asks.

“Not quite,” he responds, squeezing mayo into his mug and taking a sip.

“It’s not every day that someone offers to compensate you in mayonnaise,” Levis said in the bit. “I’m proud to officially announce that I’ve signed a lifetime supply of Hellmann’s contract.”

In a spoof news conference that was uploaded to YouTube to advertise the collaboration, Levis responded to queries about his favourite condiment while perched in front of a row of mayonnaise jars.

“I’ll admit I did not expect my mayonnaise and coffee combination to go viral — but I’m glad it did because it brought this partnership to life,” Levis said in a statement. “Hellmann’s is a staple ingredient for me and getting to show my fans how to use it in different ways, whether it’s game day dishes or mixing it in my coffee, knowing I’ll have the mayonnaise in my fridge for a lifetime is a dream come true.”

After excelling at Kentucky, Levis was projected to be among the top choices in the April NFL draft. However, he was selected by the Titans with pick number 33 in the second round. Levis is currently vying with Ryan Tannehill for the position of backup quarterback with the Titans.
