Will Chris Paul and Eric Gordon be reunited at Phoenix Suns?
The Phoenix Suns have a lot to think about this summer after a crushing loss to the Dallas Mavericks the prior season. In one corner, Deandre Ayton’s future is uncertain due to a stalemate in contract discussions. Meanwhile, they are considering bringing in a seasoned sharpshooter to assist Chris Paul in the starting lineup.
“Watch the Houston Rockets,” Windhorst remarked. “They’ve already completed one transaction this offseason.” Expect to see some Eric Gordon sweepstakes action. The Philadelphia 76ers and the Phoenix Suns are two clubs that have expressed interest. Chris Paul is exploring a possible reunion with a former teammate.”

It’s no mystery that the Suns are in disarray following their second-round setback. They had by far the greatest history in the NBA before collapsing in the playoffs. Everyone on the squad felt embarrassed by the outcome.

“I didn’t believe it would happen, especially in Dallas,” Mikal Bridges said. “I haven’t lost against them in years, and the Suns have not yet lost to them either.” So every time we play them, it’s like “we have their number, we have their number.” Then the motherfuckers came after us. Every time someone mentions a Game 7, visitors just know it’s going to be tossed in there. I’m not sure if it set a milestone or something like that, but if it did, you’re going to do it all the time. But aside from that, anytime it’s Game 7 of the playoffs in general… You can bet that Game 7 will be all they remember… When you’re gearing up for next year, all you’ll hear is, ‘You recall what transpired in Game 7?’ It sucked because I felt humiliated.”
The Suns might recover their team strength and make a significant push next season with Gordon and Paul. It might also be more of the same. For the time being, all they need to do is attempt everything, whatever, to avoid a recurrence of the 2022 playoffs. Gordon, a seasoned sniper, may assist them in accomplishing this aim.
Gordon’s current contract has two years left on it, but the Rockets might be trying to trade him immediately. The fact that clubs are still interested in Gordon demonstrates the quality he delivers to the organization. He’s hardly a star, but his versatility to stretch the field for any group makes him valuable. According to Windy, Eric Gordon may be a Suns player next season.
