Green was a member of the 24-man roster chosen to compete for Australia in the FIBA World Cup Qualifying games against Kazakhstan and Qatar in September 2018. He announced his plans to represent Australia in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics in January 2019. Green was included in the 23-man roster chosen on February 6th to compete for Australia’s under-19 national team in the FIBA under-19 Basketball World Cup.

Green expressed his desire to represent Australia at the 2019 FIBA World Cup in March of this year. In the first round of the 2020 Olympics against Nigeria, Green made his senior debut for Australia, and by defeating Slovenia in the bronze-medal game, he helped his nation win its first-ever Olympic medal in men’s basketball.
