Roddy won the Mountain West Player of the Year award and was selected to the first team for the second year in a row. Prior to announcing his entry into the 2022 NBA draught on March 30, 2022, Roddy guided the Rams to their first NCAA tournament berth since 2013.

As part of a trade that transferred Roddy, Danny Green, and De’Anthony Melton to the Memphis Grizzlies in exchange for Melton, Roddy was selected 23rd overall by the Philadelphia 76ers in the 2022 NBA Draft on behalf of the Grizzlies.
