Hunter was a two-year starter at defensive end for the Tigers while he was a student at Louisiana State University from 2012 to 2014. In January 2015, he made the decision to forego his senior year at LSU and submit his name to the 2015 NFL Draft. After his junior year, Hunter signed up for the 2015 NFL Draft.
