The Atlanta Hawks acquired him in a trade. He also participated for the Boston Celtics. Fernando, Enes Freedom, and Dennis Schröder were acquired by the Houston Rockets on February 10, 2022, from the Boston Celtics in exchange for Daniel Theis.
