Muscala was dealt to the Boston Celtics on February 9, 2023, in return for Justin Jackson and two additional second-round draft selections. The following day, Muscala made his Celtics debut, scoring 12 points and pulling down two rebounds in a 127-116 victory over the Charlotte Hornets.
