Briscoe won Sunoco Rookie of the Year in the 2021 NASCAR Cup Series while driving the No. 14 Stewart-Haas Racing Ford. In the past, Briscoe competed in the NASCAR Xfinity Series with the No. 98 Ford. At Kansas Speedway, Briscoe won his ninth Xfinity race of 2020, giving him a total of 11 Xfinity victories in his career.

The Charlotte Motor Speedway Royal hosted his first-ever Xfinity victory in 2018. Briscoe competed in one full NASCAR Camping World Truck Series season, winning his maiden race in 2017. He then added a victory at the Eldora Raceway in 2018 while driving on a part-time basis. Briscoe finished the 2016 ARCA Racing Series season with six victories and 18 top-10 finishes.
