Garza was given a two-way deal by the Pistons and the Motor City Cruise, their G-League franchise, after an outstanding Summer League showing. The team declared on September 24 that they had changed his two-way contract to a normal one.

For the 2022 NBA Summer League, Garza signed on with the Portland Trail Blazers in July 2022. Garza committed to the Minnesota Timberwolves on August 23, 2022. He inked a two-way deal with the Timberwolves on October 15, 2022.
