American professional baseball manager Brandon Hyde manages the Baltimore Orioles of Major League Baseball. Brandon had previously worked as the Florida Marlins bench coach and interim manager as well as the Chicago Cubs director of player development and first base coach.
He attended his college at California State University, Long Beach, and played his college baseball for Long Beach State Dirtbag. He was selected as an international free agent in 1997 by Chicago White Sox. He played 200 games in his minor League career.
He managed and coached many minor league teams such as Greensboro Grasshoppers, Carolina Mudcats, Jupiter Hammerheads, and Jacksonville Suns. In 2010 he was hired as a bench coach by Marlins after firing Carlos Tosca. Brandon was hired as a bench coach for the Chicago Cubs in 2013. In the 2015 season, he was promoted to first base coach.

In 2018 Brandon was hired as the new manager of the Baltimore Orioles. He had an excellent career with Cubs between the 2019 to 2021 seasons. Brandon came second position in the AL Manager of the Year voting.
