The Los Angeles Chargers selected Kelley with the 112th overall choice in the fourth round of the 2020 NFL Draft. In the competition to replace Chargers star running back Austin Ekeler, he faced off against Justin Jackson. In his NFL debut against the Cincinnati Bengals in the opening game of the 2020 season, Kelley had 60 rushing yards on 12 touches and the team’s lone touchdown on a five-yard run in the fourth quarter of a 16-13 victory.
