She earned an Emmy in 2011 for hosting the high school football program Friday Night Touchdown on FOX 8. She represented the United States as Miss Teen in 2005 while playing basketball for Ohio University.
She played guard for the Bobcats during her first season at Ohio University, where she competed in five games for head coach Semeka Randall.

Later, on August 8, 2005, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, she competed as Miss Teen USA 2005 for Ohio. LaForce participated in the swimsuit, evening gown, and final interview categories before being named Miss Teen USA 2005 by Louisiana’s Shelley Hennig, and Miss Teen USA 2004. Lesa LaForce, her mother, was Miss Ohio USA in 1977.

She received a scholarship at the School for Cinema and Television in New York City as well as a one-year modeling contract with Trump Models Management as part of her winnings.
