Darius Slay is an American football cornerback with the National Football League’s Philadelphia Eagles. He was picked in the second round of the 2013 NFL Draft by the Detroit Lions after playing college football at Mississippi State. After seven seasons with the Detroit Lions, cornerback Darius Slay was transferred to Philadelphia.
Slay was dealt to the Philadelphia Eagles on March 20, 2020, in exchange for a third-round and fifth-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. Slay also inked a new three-year deal with the Eagles the next day.

Slay, a native of Brunswick, Georgia, played running back and defensive back at Brunswick High School. Following his senior season, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution recognised him All-State at defensive back, and he was also selected for the Georgia North-South All-Star Game. In the 2008 season, he carried for over 1,300 yards and 15 touchdowns.

On March 20, 2020, Slay signed the Philadelphia Eagles. He agreed to a three-year deal worth $50 million, including $30 million as a contract extension guarantee, as well as a $13 million signing bonus and $26 million completely guaranteed.
