However, things haven’t always been easy in their relationship.
Split rumors plagued them in 2019 after Jelena failed to show up for any of his Wimbledon tennis events.
The pair claimed that this was because their daughter Tara was too little to attend, but on July 10, their fifth wedding anniversary, they also celebrated in secret. This is in sharp contrast to the year before, when Jelena shared a heartfelt anniversary greeting on social media that read, “Love loving you my love.”
It was in response to remarks made by tennis analyst John McEnroe in July 2017 that stated Djokovic’s recent bad form was brought on by “off-court issues with the family.”

The golfer Tiger Woods, who ended his marriage to Elin Nordegren after it was discovered he had cheated on her with 120 women, was even compared to him in his decline.
“Woods had the issues with his wife and then he seemed to go completely off the rails and has never been even close to being the same player,” John said.
Though taken aback by the remarks, Novak responded in a polite manner: “He has his right to say the things he wants to say. I don’t necessarily need to agree with that. But it’s his right.”

“But as time goes on, you lack anonymity, you lack the privacy to be able to do whatever you like at any time, in any situation.

“I try to resist all these expectations to always be myself and for Novak to be able to be himself.”
In response to remarks made about her, she continued: “That is probably why I am being criticised by the public ‘why didn’t I wear makeup’ or ‘why wasn’t I always wearing heels’.”
