On October 9, 2022, Cain’s contract was changed to a two-way arrangement, enabling him to compete for both the Heat and Sioux Falls Skyforce, the Heat’s NBA G League club. Cain made his NBA debut on November 12, 2022, in a 132-115 victory over the Charlotte Hornets.
