He was listed by ESPN as one of Australia’s top youth players. Dellavedova joined the Cleveland Cavaliers for the 2013 NBA Summer League after going undrafted in the 2013 NBA draught. In a sign-and-trade agreement with the Cavaliers, Dellavedova was acquired by the Milwaukee Bucks on July 7, 2016.

Dellavedova signed a three-year contract with Melbourne United of the Australian NBL on July 9, 2021. Dellavedova signed a contract with the Sacramento Kings on July 29, 2022. Dellavedova participated in the 2009 FIBA Under-19 World Championship for the Australian junior national team. He was selected to play for the Boomers, Australia’s senior national team, in the first FIBA Oceania Championship in 2009.

He was the youngest Australian competitor at the age of 19. Later, he represented the Boomers at the Olympics in London in 2012, the World Cup in Spain in 2014, the Olympics in Rio de Janeiro in 2016, and the World Cup in China in 2019. He assisted Australia in winning bronze in the 2020 Olympics.
