Who Is AMY, Wife Of MLB Star Gerrit Cole? Take A Look At Their Dreamy Love Story
Player for the Boston Red Sox, Gerrit Cole, nearly stole the win when his spouse was seated beside him.
For his achievements in the American League, the pitcher for the New York Yankees was awarded the Cy Young trophy last week.
In an interview conducted shortly after receiving the honor, Cole, 33, had his wife Amy seated next to him.
Pedro Martinez of the MLB Network asked him what appeared to be a no-brainer.

Martinez said: “If you have to name someone who you want to have with you receiving the trophy because of how much he means to you or she means to you or that person who you want to really think of when you receive the trophy, who would that be?”
With Amy seated next to him, the answer seemed clear, but Gerrit took his time.
After struggling for a little while, he eventually recovered and honored his wife.

Cole said: “She’s been there since I was just a kid in school and she supported me in all different aspects and journeys in our life.
“Moving to New York, setting up the home with the kids during the pandemic, and being that rock for all of us as we transition to a new place. She plays a big role behind the scenes.
“She’s the one I’d like sitting next to me when I receive it, for sure.”

Following Cole’s rescue mission, the two gave each other a tender hug.
Having met at UCLA, where they both made significant progress, Gerrit and Amy became college sweethearts.
Amy Crawford was a part of the Bruins softball team that took home the Women’s College World Series championship.
Later on, Gerrit made history by being the first player from UCLA to be selected first overall in the MLB Draft.

Baseball player Brandon Crawford, her brother, played with the San Francisco 49ers from 2011 to 2023.
Gerrit and Brandon were playing together for the first time, thus Amy felt that this was a unique All-Star Game.

In 2020, Amy and Gerrit Cole also established a foundation with the goal of raising American children’s standards of living.
The two kids of the marriage are Everett, who was born in January, and Caden, who is three years old.
Although they were initially simply friends, they got married in 2016 at The Ritz-Carlton in Santa Barbara, California.

Inside Weddings was informed by Amy: “I was moving into my new apartment, and Gerrit drove an hour and a half after a wedding just to help me move.
“My mom was there with me, and he showed up with a bouquet of flowers for her birthday.
“That’s the day I decided to take him up on that first-date offer from the year prior.”
