Who Is Amina Smith, ESPN Sports Host And Wife of Chiefs Star Deon Bush?

The announcement was made that Amina Smith will be the new face of ESPN’s SportsCenter.

On April 2, the well-liked anchor will start her new position at the sports network.

Smith is leaving her position as an NBC Sports Boston sportswriter for the New England Patriots and the Boston Celtics.

Smith started her career in broadcasting while still a student at the University of South Carolina, where she was a track athlete.

Before transferring to the University of Miami, she worked as a football and women’s basketball reporter for the school’s SGTV.

She worked locally at 6 News in Lawrence, Kansas, following her graduation.

Since then, Smith has worked for Fox, BTN, and NBC as a national broadcaster.

“Joining ESPN is truly a dream come true,” Smith said in the press room of ESPN.
