Who are the top 5 Highest-Paid Tight Ends (TEs) in the NFL this year?
According to overthecap.com, a website that records NFL player contracts, 23 NFL tight ends earn an average salary of at least $5 million annually. George Kittle, an NFL tight end who earns $15 million a year, is the highest-paid tight end in the league.
Travis Kelce has played a crucial role in the Kansas City Chiefs’ illustrious success under Patrick Mahomes. The seven-time pro bowler, who many people believe to be the best tight end in the game, regularly puts up wide receiver-type numbers and shows up when it counts. Here is our list of the Top 5 highest paid tight ends in the NFL this year:
1) George Kittle, San Francisco 49ers
Kittle’s five-year, $75 million agreement established a standard for tight ends that may be difficult to exceed. Kittle’s contract included $40 million in total guarantees in addition to an $18 million signing bonus. His 2022 salary is guaranteed at the start of the 2021 league year, and there is a $30 million guarantee at the time of signing. Additionally, on April 1, 2022, the final $5 million of his 2023 compensation is guaranteed. Kittle’s cap hit for the 2022 season is currently set at $16 million.

4) David Njoku, Cleveland Browns
It comes as a surprise when you look at Njoku’s statistics from his first five seasons that he is among the highest-paid tight ends. Njoku has so far caught 148 passes out of 240 attempts for 1,754 yards and 15 touchdowns. Njoku, though, seems to be the Browns’ first priority.
5) Mark Andrews, Baltimore Ravens
Mark Andrews agreed to a four-year, $56 million contract deal before the 2021 NFL season. Guarantees of $37.6 million were given to him, including a signing bonus of $10.2 million and $30.1 in full guarantees. His cap amount is anticipated to reach $9.66 million in 2022 before increasing to $13.4 million in 2023 and $16.9 million in 2024.
