Barbie or Oppenheimer? While It’s Barbenheimer Weekend For Many, Kirk Cousins Prefers Oppenheimer.

Several NFL players discussed their plans for “Barbenheimer” weekend, including Kirk Cousins of the Minnesota Vikings, tight end Travis Kelce of the Kansas City Chiefs, and quarterback Patrick Mahomes of the Kansas City Chiefs.

Barbie or Oppenheimer: such is the choice made by a few of the Quarterback cast members for the Netflix documentary series.

In honour of the largest double-feature, since double-features ceased to be common, the NFL shared its red carpet favourites on social media: Barb-enheimer.

Both movies received backing from Mahomes. He did, however, say that he would be taking his daughter to see Barbie because he is a female parent. Since Kelce doesn’t understand Oppenheimer, he stated that he will see Barbie.

“Both are gonna be great,” Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes said. “I’m probably going to have to watch Barbie with my daughter, so I’m gonna watch that one.”

Travis Kelce, a tight end with the Chiefs, was Mahomes’ next favorite target. Before the History Channel became into the Pawn Shop/People Who Live In Swamps Network, something tells me he didn’t watch much of it.

“I’m gonna say Barbie, because what’s Oppenheimer.”

On the other hand, Cousins claimed he enjoys real-life stories shown in movies and that he would attempt to catch a showing of Oppenheimer before Vikings training camp.

“I’m an Oppenheimer guy,” Cousins said, in a refreshing change of pace that was for some reason as unsurprising as Kelce having no clue who/what Oppenheimer is/was. “I love history, I love true stories. I was just saying to someone the other day, ‘I can’t wait to see Oppenheimer.’”

Counsins, though, was really bummed that the release of the newest Christopher Nolan film coincided with the start of training camp.

“So the timing is terrible, I’ve got to find some way to sneak preview it right before camp starts, otherwise we go into camp and I won’t get to see it.”
