Which are the NFL teams flaunting alternate helmets and jerseys for 2022-23 season

Throwback jerseys may now be worn with different helmets according to rule amendments granted by the NFL in 2021.

Since wearing more than one helmet may not be safe for athletes, the usage of a second helmet was discontinued in 2013. Clubs have pushed for a second helmet as those worries have subsided because alternate jersey possibilities have increased in 2018. The 2022 season is the first time the new uniforms will be used.

The second helmet may only be worn with so-called classic, alternative, or Color Rush jerseys, according to a league letter. That suggests that this season may see the return of some of the greatest vintage NFL uniforms. Some teams have started debuting brand-new helmets and outfits or informing supporters that their preferred vintage uniform and helmet combo will return.

Houston is on Red alert

Since 2002, there have been Houston Texans. They only had dark blue headwear at that period. This season, that will change. The “Battle Red” helmet will be worn on November 3 against the Philadelphia Eagles, the team confirmed.

Patriarch Pat is back for the New England Patriots

The New England Patriots will reintroduce their traditional “Pat Patriot” logo-adorned white helmets and crimson outfits. Beginning in 1960, this was the franchise’s first attire. The club wore it until 1993 when Bill Parcells took over as coach. The “Flying Elvis” emblem and royal blue shirts arrived with him. The Patriots have won nine games while wearing this jersey between 1994 and 2013.

Saints made a black bet

The New Orleans Saints are switching their helmet color scheme for their new jerseys. New Orleans’ new helmet is black instead of its customary gold with a black decal. The helmet will be worn by the Saints with their all-white Color Rush gear.

A second red lid for the Falcons

In preparation for their Week 6 matchup against the San Francisco 49ers, the Atlanta Falcons are bringing their red helmets back. The team’s first helmet was red in 1966, but this one is a little different. According to the squad, the gold stripes commemorate Georgia Tech and the University of Georgia.

Kelly Green in Philadelphia

The Randall Cunningham and Reggie White eras are being referenced by the Philadelphia Eagles.

Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie stated in March, “It’s what we’ve desired and we’re going to be able to introduce it for that season. “It’s going to be that uniform and it’s going to be as similar to what that existed as possible,” he said, “if you all remember the ’90s and ’80s with Randall and Reggie and Jerome [Brown] and Seth [Joyner] and Clyde [Simmons] and everybody.”
