When will Trevor Lawrence face his first defeat?
Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence will have to wait until Week 2 to get cheers from the Jaguars supporters at the TIAA Bank Field. Lawrence will make his NFL debut against the Houston Texans in the Jaguars’ highly anticipated 2021 season opener. Urban Meyer will be coaching his first NFL game on the road.
Three of the Jaguars’ first five games will be played at TIAA Bank Field, according to the team’s 17-game schedule released Wednesday night. As it stands, their season opener on September 12 at NRG Stadium in Houston will be the first time they will open on the road since beating the New York Giants 20-15 at MetLife Stadium in 2018.

Trevor’s impressive statistics
It seems, Lawrence’s sole purpose in life is to win. His performance in high school and college, in fact, tells enough tales. What’s interesting is the fact that Trevor Lawrence never experienced a defeat during his high school and college days.
He led the Tigers to a national championship during his first season. He guided the team to College Football Playoff berths the next two seasons, despite the squad failing to win another championship. However, his winning habit will be compromised once he steps into the big boys league.
As NFL Network insider James Palmer tweeted, “Unless the Jaguars go 17-0 this season, Trevor Lawrence is slated to lose his first regular-season game of his life. HIS LIFE. Never lost one in 4 years of high school or during his 3 seasons at Clemson.”

So, what exactly the season shall look like for Lawrence?
Tough challenge ahead
Before expecting too much from the young QB, it would be fair for the fans to remember that he’ll be in charge of a club that only won one game in the 2020 season.
The Jaguars started the season with a big win over the Indianapolis Colts. However, the team went on a 15-game losing run after that. The Jacksonville-based franchise will be hoping to alter their poor season record this time and they have placed an immense bet on Trevor Lawrence.
Hopes are alive but results are uncertain
The Jacksonville Jaguars have a newfound feeling of hope and enthusiasm as they prepare for the 2021 NFL season. They have a new head coach in Urban Meyer, along with their new rookie quarterback in Lawrence. While a postseason berth is unlikely this season, the Jaguars should provide some relief to their long-suffering supporters in 2021. However, if we put the previous season and the Jaguars’ squad strength and experience into perspective, they might face defeat within their first three encounters of the season.
And in the process, Trevor Larence will face his first defeat, which he would not want in his very first NFL season, of course. But one thing Trevor should be focused on. And that is, high school and college football might be competitive but are nowhere near the intensity and rigor of the NFL. Here, even the best QBs in the history of the game cannot finish their career without facing a defeat. So, while Trevor will hope to avoid any losses during his rookie season, he should not take it personally when defeat comes.
