The fan voting for the 2023 NBA All-Star game is just around the corner. In fact, it will begin from December 20th onwards and run until January 21st, 2023. The month-long voting will be held to determine which players will take part in the All-Star Weekend between February 17th till 19th in Salt Lake City, with the Utah Jazz hosting the festivities for the first time since 1993.

This season will see the  72nd NBA All-Star Game take place since the inception of the celebratory event.

How can NBA fans cast their votes for the All-Star game?

Voting for the NBA All-star game in 2023 will no longer be allowed on Twitter. Instead, the change will see votes being restricted to the NBA’s app and/or website. Moreover, users will only be allowed to vote once per day during the window, however, there will be select dates when votes count triple.

Fans can select three frontcourt players and two guards for either the Eastern Conference or Western Conference.

The starting five players for each elite lineup for the game will be selected by a combination of votes from fans, players, and a media panel. This time, the supporter voting counts for 50% while players and the media polling will be worth 25 percent each.

There will be six “3-for-1” days when fan votes count triple, the first of those will be on December 25.

The starters for the NBA All-Star Game, including the two team captains, will be revealed on January 26, 2023, with reserves, chosen by NBA head coaches and that will be announced on February 2.
