What Happened the Last Time Boston Celtics and the Warriors Faced Each Other in NBA Finals?
The Golden State Warriors have finally learned who they will face in the NBA Finals. On Sunday night, the Boston Celtics defeated the Miami Heat in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference playoffs, advancing to their 22nd NBA Finals. Starting on Thursday, June 2, they will face the Warriors.
The Celtics lost a 17-point second-quarter lead and handed the worn-down Heat a ray of hope after squandering an opportunity to close out the Miami Heat at home in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference playoffs.
This time, the Celtics completed the job, defeating Miami and Jimmy Butler 100-96 in Game 7 on Sunday. The Warriors and Celtics will meet in the NBA Finals for the second time, and the first was one of the most memorable final matchups in NBA history.
