What Are The Most Likely Destinations QB Kyler Murray Would Be Traded To?
In 2022, quarterback Kyler Murray agreed to a $230.5 million, five-year contract deal. Officially, such an agreement will start in 2024. It’s clear he has raw talent. He has 23 rushing scores and 84 passing touchdowns in four seasons, but there are still unanswered problems.
Murray has a quarterback rating of 92.5 since joining the league in 2019, which ranks 22nd in the NFL (minimum 200 throw attempts). Furthermore, under Murray’s tenure, the Cardinals have failed to win a postseason game.
Murray’s deal could be moved, giving the Cardinals the freedom to begin a comprehensive space makeover. He is skilled enough to spark attention around the league despite the worries.

What Are The Most Likely Destinations QB Kyler Murray Would Be Traded To?
Minnesota Vikings
In 2024, the Vikings will have to make a crucial choice in the offseason. Kirk Cousins, the seasoned quarterback, is about to become a free agent. With three Pro Bowl selections in five years, he is now enjoying an underappreciated run in Minnesota. With 153 throwing touchdowns since 2018, he is fourth in the NFL behind only Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers, and Patrick Mahomes.
The 35-year-old Cousins will not waive his no-trade clause prior to this year’s deadline, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. But once this season ends, the Vikings will probably still be eager to move on from the Cousins era.
Minnesota should be competitive with Cousins for the duration of 2023, probably eliminating it from consideration to draft either Williams or Maye — and firmly placing the Vikings in the Murray sweepstakes.

Atlanta Falcons
Atlanta is still very much in the middle of the NFC South competition, even with their unsteady quarterback performance. The Falcons are one quarterback away from being regarded as genuine postseason contenders, trailing the leading Tampa Bay Buccaneers by a half-game.
Desmond Ridder, a second-year pro, has shown he is not the solution at quarterback. With a QBR of 40, which is the ninth lowest in the NFL this season, the former third-round pick has thrown six interceptions in addition to touchdown passes, and he has completed at least half of his games with 201 yards or less.
More significantly, two top-10 choices in the passing game have had poor returns as a result of his flaws. Since Ridder assumed the starting position in Week 15, tight end Kyle Pitts and wideout Drake London have combined for just two touchdown catches.
Is Desmond Ridder the right guy for Atlanta?
Or should they attempt to make a trade for a different QB like Kyler Murray?

Las Vegas Raiders
The Raiders did not rule out chasing Murray in 2024 despite inking Jimmy Garoppolo to a three-year, $72.75 million contract this offseason. The Raiders had a poor 6-11 record at the end of the previous season. They may be eliminated from the playoffs once more in a stacked AFC. According to Sharp Football Analysis, the Raiders have the second-toughest schedule in the NFL for this season.
A quarterback who can consistently engage his playmakers is what Las Vegas needs. With Murray as his quarterback in 2020, DeAndre Hopkins recorded the second-highest number of targets in the NFL (160). Moreover, in his four NFL seasons, Murray’s dual-threat skills have guided three top-10 rushing assaults.

Although acquiring Murray would need more than simply Garoppolo, the former would be the perfect short-term fix should Arizona choose a quarterback in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft.
Garoppolo’s contract also provides for a possible release in 2025. Spotrac said they could cut him and not have any dead cap issues. He should be worth something as a trade asset in 2024 if they decide to let go of him. Murray may be sent back to Arizona as a bridge quarterback in a possible deal.
